Intelligent charging management combined with the high-performance wallbox from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG
This company has been a byword for quality and sustainability for more than 160 years. As a company with a long tradition, Heidelberg is therefore defining digital future trends in the print media industry and beyond thanks to modern technologies and innovative business ideas. With many years of experience in the area of power electronics, the company has developed the "Heidelberg Wallbox", a charger for electric cars which perfectly complements the exist-ing range of products on the market: high performance with an excellent cost/benefit ratio. The product has already successfully proven itself on the market with around 20,000 wallboxes for electric cars from a premium manufacturer and more than 100,000 intelligent charging cables manufactured to customer order. The "Heidelberg Wallbox" is linked to a PV system, Smart Meter and the individual customer building automation in the Energy IoT solu-tions of ROCKETHOME. The charging of the cars is automatically optimised by the system depending on the energy production of the house and self-consumption. "We firmly believe that we are at a turning point in the question of electromobility", says Klaus Braun, head of the Industry Division of Heidelberg. "The technology will establish itself in the market. We aim to take advantage of this trend and look forward to accelerating the development with an innovative partner like ROCKETHOME."
